 Crab Salad (Seafood Salad) Recipe

A cool, creamy coastal favorite

 Ingredients

  • 1 lb imitation crab meat (or real crab), chopped or shredded
  • ½ cup celery, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup red onion (or shallot), finely chopped
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning (or any seafood seasoning)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: fresh dill or parsley

This combo creates a creamy, tangy dressing with a crunchy texture from celery and onion.

 Instructions

  1. Prepare the base:
    In a large bowl, add crab meat, celery, and onion.
  2. Make the dressing:
    In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Combine:
    Pour the dressing over the crab mixture and gently mix until coated.
  4. Chill:
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors blend.
  5. Serve:
    Enjoy cold on:

    • Lettuce
    • Sandwiches
    • Crackers
    • Wraps

Chilling enhances flavor and texture, making it more refreshing.

 Tips & Variations

  • Add shrimp or lobster for a deluxe seafood version
  • Mix in a little sour cream or Dijon mustard for extra tang
  • Use fresh herbs (dill/chives) for a brighter taste
