Mediterranean Burrata and Pita Board

Ingredients

For the Pita:

  • 2–3 pita breads
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Pinch of salt

For the Board:

  • 2 balls burrata cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup Kalamata olives
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves
  • 1–2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • Extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pita

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Slice the pita breads into triangles.
  • Place them on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
  • Sprinkle with oregano and a pinch of salt.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.

2. Assemble the Board

  • Place the burrata in the center of a serving board or large plate.
  • Arrange cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, red onion, and olives around it.
  • Scatter fresh basil leaves on top.

3. Finish & Serve

  • Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze over the burrata and vegetables.
  • Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  • Serve immediately with the warm crispy pita.

Tips

  • Add hummus or roasted red peppers for extra flavor.
  • A sprinkle of chili flakes gives a nice kick
  • Best enjoyed fresh while the burrata is creamy inside.
