 Blackberry Cobbler

 Ingredients

  • 3–4 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter (unsalted)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Optional: cinnamon or nutmeg (for extra flavor)

 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the batter
    • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    • Add milk and stir until smooth.
  3. Melt the butter
    • Pour melted butter into a baking dish (don’t mix it with the batter).
  4. Assemble
    • Pour the batter over the butter.
    • Add blackberries evenly on top (do NOT stir).
  5. Bake
    • Bake for 35–45 minutes until golden brown on top.
  6. Serve
    • Let it cool slightly.
    • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

 Tips

  • You can use frozen blackberries (just thaw them first).
  • Reduce sugar if your berries are already sweet.
  • Add lemon zest or juice for a fresh flavor twist.
