Italian Stromboli
Golden pizza crust stuffed with savory meats and gooey melted cheese, brushed with garlic butter.
Ingredients:
- 1 tube refrigerated pizza crust (like Pillsbury)
- 8 slices deli ham
- 8–10 slices salami
- 15–20 slices pepperoni
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Marinara or pizza sauce (for dipping)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. - Prepare the dough
Roll out the pizza crust into a rectangle on a clean surface. - Add the fillings
Layer the ham, salami, and pepperoni evenly over the dough.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top. - Roll it up
Carefully roll the dough into a log (like a jelly roll), starting from one long side.
Pinch the edges and ends to seal tightly. - Place and score
Transfer the stromboli seam-side down onto the baking sheet.
Cut a few small slits on top to let steam escape. - Add egg wash
Beat the egg and brush it over the top for a golden finish. - Make garlic butter
Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
Brush some over the stromboli. - Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown. - Finish & serve
Brush with remaining garlic butter after baking.
Let it cool slightly, slice, and serve with marinara sauce.
Tip: You can add extras like sautéed peppers, onions, or mushrooms for more flavor!
