Slow Cooker Smoked Sausage Noodles

Slow Cooker Smoked Sausage Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450–500 g) smoked sausage, sliced into ½‑inch pieces
  • 4 cups beef broth (or any broth you prefer)
  • 2 cups wide egg noodles (dry)
  • 1 can (10–12 oz / ~300 g) cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Optional: Brown the sausage in a skillet first for extra flavor.
  2. Lightly oil the inside of the slow cooker to prevent sticking.
  3. Add the sausage to the slow cooker.
  4. In a bowl, whisk the broth and cream of mushroom soup until smooth.
  5. Pour the soup-broth mixture over the sausage and stir gently.
  6. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until heated through.
  7. About 30–40 minutes before serving, add the dry noodles, making sure they are submerged in the liquid.
  8. Cover and cook on HIGH for 20–30 minutes, stirring halfway, until the noodles are tender and the sauce thickens.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste, stir well, and serve hot.
