Slow Cooker Smoked Sausage Noodles
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450–500 g) smoked sausage, sliced into ½‑inch pieces
- 4 cups beef broth (or any broth you prefer)
- 2 cups wide egg noodles (dry)
- 1 can (10–12 oz / ~300 g) cream of mushroom soup
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Optional: Brown the sausage in a skillet first for extra flavor.
- Lightly oil the inside of the slow cooker to prevent sticking.
- Add the sausage to the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk the broth and cream of mushroom soup until smooth.
- Pour the soup-broth mixture over the sausage and stir gently.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours until heated through.
- About 30–40 minutes before serving, add the dry noodles, making sure they are submerged in the liquid.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 20–30 minutes, stirring halfway, until the noodles are tender and the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, stir well, and serve hot.
