Ingredients
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional topping: crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for extra crunch
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook pasta: Boil the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Make cheese sauce:
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add the milk and cream cheese, stirring until smooth.
- Gradually add cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey Jack, and Parmesan, stirring until fully melted and creamy.
- Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and stir until evenly coated.
- Bake:
- Pour the cheesy pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with extra shredded cheese or crushed crackers if desired.
