Ranch Potatoes and Sausage (Cheesy One-Pan Dinner)
A hearty, no-fuss meal with crispy potatoes, smoky sausage, ranch flavor, and melted cheddar — all baked on one pan.
Ingredients
- 800 g baby potatoes, washed and cut into bite-size pieces
- 350–400 g smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
- 1½ cups (150 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Season the potatoes: In a big bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, ranch seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until well coated.
- First roast: Spread the potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet. Roast for 25 minutes.
- Add sausage: Remove the pan, add the sliced smoked sausage, and gently mix with the potatoes.
- Second roast: Return to the oven for 15–20 minutes, until potatoes are golden and tender and the sausage edges are slightly crisp.
- Add cheese: Sprinkle cheddar evenly on top. Put back in the oven for 3–5 minutes until melted.
- Garnish & serve: Add chopped parsley if you like. Serve hot.
Tips
- Don’t overcrowd the pan so the potatoes crisp well.
- You can swap cheddar for mozzarella or a cheese blend.
- Serve with a simple green salad or steamed veggies.
