Slow Cooker Sausage Dip

Slow Cooker Sausage Dip

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (500 g) sausage
  • 8 oz (200 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • (Optional) jalapeños or hot sauce for extra spice

Instructions:

  1. Cook the sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  2. Drain excess grease
Remove any extra oil so the dip doesn’t become too heavy.
  3. Add to slow cooker
Transfer the cooked sausage to the slow cooker. Add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and all the seasonings.
  4. Cook
    • On LOW for 2–3 hours, or
    • On HIGH for 1–1.5 hours
  5. Stir occasionally
Mix from time to time until the cheese is fully melted and the dip is smooth and creamy.

Serving:

Serve warm with:

  • Tortilla chips
  • Bread slices
  • Crackers
  • Or even fries

Tips:

  • Add more cheese if you want it extra creamy
  • Mix in corn or bell peppers for more texture
  • Make it spicy by adding jalapeños or hot sauce
