Slow Cooker Sausage Dip
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (500 g) sausage
- 8 oz (200 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Black pepper, to taste
- (Optional) jalapeños or hot sauce for extra spice
Instructions:
- Cook the sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. - Drain excess grease
Remove any extra oil so the dip doesn’t become too heavy. - Add to slow cooker
Transfer the cooked sausage to the slow cooker. Add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, and all the seasonings. - Cook
- On LOW for 2–3 hours, or
- On HIGH for 1–1.5 hours
- Stir occasionally
Mix from time to time until the cheese is fully melted and the dip is smooth and creamy.
Serving:
Serve warm with:
- Tortilla chips
- Bread slices
- Crackers
- Or even fries
Tips:
- Add more cheese if you want it extra creamy
- Mix in corn or bell peppers for more texture
- Make it spicy by adding jalapeños or hot sauce
