Garbage Bread

 Garbage Bread

Garbage Bread is a fun, stuffed bread loaded with “everything but the kitchen sink”! Crispy on the outside, cheesy and savory on the inside—perfect for parties, game nights, or an easy dinner.

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)

Fillings (mix & match)

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ lb cooked ground beef or Italian sausage
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices (optional)
  • ½ cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup bell peppers, diced
  • ¼ cup black olives, sliced
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely chopped

Seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Topping

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)

 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Layer the fillings evenly over the dough, leaving a 2–3 cm border on all sides. Start with cheese, then meats, veggies, and seasonings.
  4. Roll it up tightly from the long side like a jelly roll. Pinch seams and tuck ends underneath.
  5. Transfer to baking sheet, seam-side down.
  6. Brush with olive oil and bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Finish it off: Brush with melted butter, sprinkle Parmesan and parsley.
  8. Rest 5 minutes, slice, and serve warm.

 Tips & Variations

  • Go pizza-style with marinara on the side for dipping.
  • Make it spicy: add jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
  • Try a breakfast version: scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheddar.
  • Keep it veg-only with extra mushrooms, spinach, and olives.

Enjoy every messy, cheesy bite
