It looks impressive on the table, but it is surprisingly simple to make!

Ingredients

1 can 8-ounce refrigerated crescent dough sheet

2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or finely chopped

4–6 slices deli ham

4–6 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.

Prepare the dough: Unroll the crescent dough onto the baking sheet. If using regular crescent rolls instead of a seamless sheet, pinch the seams together firmly to create one solid rectangle.

Create the braid: Lightly mark the dough lengthwise into three sections, leaving the center section about 3 inches wide. Cut diagonal strips along both sides of the dough, stopping before reaching the center.

Add the filling: Place the shredded chicken down the center of the dough, leaving a little space at the ends. Layer the ham over the chicken, then place the Swiss cheese on top.

Seal the ends: Fold the top and bottom portions of the dough over the filling.

Braid: Starting at the top, cross one strip of dough over the filling, then alternate sides as you work your way down. Continue until the entire filling is covered.

Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the crescent dough is puffed and beautifully golden brown and the cheese is melted. The chicken filling should reach 165°F.

Rest and serve: Let the braid rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with Dijon mustard or honey mustard for dipping.

Easy Tip

For an extra-golden finish, brush the top of the braid with a little beaten egg before baking. You can also sprinkle a small amount of garlic powder or dried thyme over the chicken for extra flavor.

4-Ingredient Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescent Braid This easy Chicken Cordon Bleu Crescent Braid is crispy, buttery, cheesy, and packed with…

[1

post-7222","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-recipe
["GET
