Prepare the onions:<\/strong><br \/>\nMelt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring often, for 20\u201330 minutes until they become soft, golden, and caramelized. Season lightly with salt and pepper.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Cook the chicken:<\/strong><br \/>\nPush the onions to the side of the pan or transfer them to a plate. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and optional spices. In the same pan, sear the chicken for 4\u20135 minutes per side until golden (it doesn\u2019t need to be fully cooked yet).<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.
