Cheesy Beef Biscuit Bake
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 4 oz (120g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (or soft dinner roll dough)
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Cook the beef
- In a pan, cook ground beef with onion over medium heat.
- Add garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and seasoning.
- Cook until browned and fully done. Drain excess fat.
- Prepare creamy layer
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese with a little salt and pepper until smooth.
- Assemble
- Grease a baking dish.
- Spread the cooked beef evenly at the bottom.
- Add spoonfuls of cream cheese over the beef.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Add the dough
- Cut biscuit dough into small pieces and place them over the top (covering the surface).
- Bake
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Finish
- Brush melted butter on top and sprinkle parsley.
Tips:
- Add cooked bacon for extra flavor
- You can mix a little milk with cream cheese for a softer texture
- Serve warm for that perfect cheesy stretch
