 Ingredients

  • 300 g pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 500 g ground beef (or a mix of beef and turkey)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese (optional, for extra richness)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

 Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta
    Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Meatballs
    In a bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
    Shape into small meatballs.
  3. Cook the Meatballs
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and fully cooked.
  4. Combine Everything
    Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
    In a large bowl, mix cooked pasta with marinara sauce. Add the meatballs and stir gently.
  5. Assemble the Bake
    Transfer to a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake
    Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden.
  7. Serve
    Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
