Chocolate Cake with Sweetened Condensed Milk
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until fully combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Optional Chocolate Topping
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Heat the cream until warm, pour over the chocolate chips, let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Pour over the cooled cake.

- Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter
- Do not overmix to keep the cake soft and fluffy
- You can add 1 teaspoon of instant coffee to enhance the chocolate flavor
