 Homemade Apple Cinnamon Swirl Loaf

 Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large apple, peeled and chopped (or thinly sliced)

 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  2. Make cinnamon swirl:
    In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter & sugar:
    In a large bowl, beat butter and white sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add eggs & vanilla:
    Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Mix dry ingredients:
    In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  6. Combine everything:
    Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until smooth.
  7. Layer the batter:
    • Pour half of the batter into the pan
    • Add half of the chopped apples
    • Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture
    • Repeat layers with remaining batter, apples, and cinnamon sugar
  8. Swirl:
    Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon through the batter.
  9. Bake:
    Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool & serve:
    Let cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a rack. Slice and enjoy!

 Tips:

  • Use Granny Smith apples for a slightly tart flavor
  • Add chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) for extra crunch
  • Sprinkle a little sugar on top before baking for a crispy crust
