Ingredients

  • 2 boxes vanilla wafers
  • 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
  • 1 container fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the cold milk and vanilla pudding mix until smooth and slightly thickened.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Mix well until fully combined.
  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping until the mixture becomes creamy and fluffy.
  4. In a large dish (or trifle bowl), start layering:
    • First layer: vanilla wafers
    • Second layer: sliced bananas
    • Third layer: sliced strawberries
    • Fourth layer: pudding mixture
  5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is even better) to let the flavors blend and the wafers soften.

Tips

  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice to the bananas to prevent browning.
  • Use ripe but firm bananas for the best texture.
  • You can crush some wafers on top for extra crunch before serving.
  • For extra flavor, drizzle a little strawberry syrup between layers.
