Creamy Beef Pasta
Ingredients:
- 300 g (10 oz) wide pasta (pappardelle or fettuccine)
- 400 g (1 lb) ground beef
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cook the pasta
Boil salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside. - Cook the beef
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. - Add aromatics
Add chopped onion and cook until soft (about 3–4 minutes). Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. - Make the sauce
Add tomato paste, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
Pour in beef broth and let it simmer for 5 minutes. - Add cream
Stir in heavy cream and let it cook for another 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened. - Combine
Add cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and toss until creamy. - Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
Tips:
- Use fresh pasta for even better texture
- Add a little pasta water if the sauce gets too thick
- You can swap beef with chicken or mushrooms
