Creamy Beef Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 300 g (10 oz) wide pasta (pappardelle or fettuccine)
  • 400 g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

 Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta
    Boil salted water and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the beef
    Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add aromatics
    Add chopped onion and cook until soft (about 3–4 minutes). Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Make the sauce
    Add tomato paste, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
    Pour in beef broth and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add cream
    Stir in heavy cream and let it cook for another 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Combine
    Add cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and toss until creamy.
  7. Serve
    Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.

 Tips:

  • Use fresh pasta for even better texture
  • Add a little pasta water if the sauce gets too thick
  • You can swap beef with chicken or mushrooms
