Creamsicle Orange Fluff

Creamsicle Orange Fluff (Creamy No-Bake Dessert)

 Description

Creamsicle Orange Fluff is a light, creamy, and refreshing no-bake dessert that tastes just like an orange creamsicle popsicle. It’s made with orange gelatin, fluffy whipped topping, juicy mandarin oranges, and soft mini marshmallows. This dessert is perfect for potlucks, family gatherings, holidays, or anytime you want something sweet without turning on the oven.

 Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) orange gelatin (Jell-O)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 can (11–15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained well
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup cottage cheese (optional, for extra creaminess)

 Instructions

Step 1: Dissolve the Gelatin

In a large mixing bowl, pour the orange gelatin powder. Add 1 cup of boiling water and stir thoroughly until the gelatin is completely dissolved. This step is important to avoid grainy texture.

Step 2: Add Cold Water

Pour in the cold water and stir again. Let the mixture cool for about 10–15 minutes. It should be slightly thickened but not fully set.

Step 3: Mix in the Pudding

Add the instant vanilla pudding mix to the gelatin mixture. Whisk until smooth and slightly creamy. Let it sit for a few minutes to thicken.

Step 4: Fold in Whipped Topping

Gently fold in the whipped topping using a spatula. Mix slowly to keep the texture light and fluffy. The mixture should become smooth and creamy with a pale orange color.

Step 5: Add the Fruit and Marshmallows

Carefully fold in:

  • Mandarin oranges
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Cottage cheese (if using)

Mix gently so the oranges stay whole and don’t break apart too much.

Step 6: Chill the Fluff

Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl or dish. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours, or until fully chilled and set.

Step 7: Serve and Enjoy

Serve cold. You can garnish with extra whipped topping or a few orange slices for a nice presentation.

 Tips for Best Results

  • Make sure the mandarin oranges are well drained to avoid a watery dessert
  • For a stronger orange flavor, add a little orange zest
  • Chill longer (up to 4 hours) for a thicker texture
  • Always fold gently to keep the fluff light and airy

 Variations

  • Add crushed pineapple for a tropical twist
  • Mix in shredded coconut for extra texture
  • Add strawberries or peaches for more fruit flavor
  • Use sugar-free gelatin and pudding for a lighter version

 Storage

  • Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container
  • Best eaten within 2–3 days
  • Do not freeze (it will lose its fluffy texture)
