Almond Cream Filled Cake (Soft & Elegant Dessert)
Ingredients
For the Cake Batter:
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
For the Cream Filling:
- 2 cups milk
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons butter
For Topping:
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Cream Filling:
- In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, and cornstarch.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.
- Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla.
- Let it cool completely.
2. Make the Cake Batter:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add milk, oil, and vanilla, mix well.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.
3. Assemble:
- Pour batter into a greased baking pan.
- Transfer cream into a piping bag.
- Pipe thick lines of cream across the top (like in the picture).
- Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
4. Bake:
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
5. Finish:
- Let it cool slightly.
- Dust with powdered sugar.
- Slice and serve
Tips:
- Don’t overmix the batter to keep it soft.
- You can add lemon zest for extra flavor.
- Best served slightly warm!
