Almond Cream Filled Cake (Soft & Elegant Dessert)

 Ingredients

For the Cake Batter:

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

For the Cream Filling:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter

For Topping:

  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

 Instructions

1. Prepare the Cream Filling:

  1. In a saucepan, mix milk, sugar, and cornstarch.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.
  3. Remove from heat, add butter and vanilla.
  4. Let it cool completely.

2. Make the Cake Batter:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add milk, oil, and vanilla, mix well.
  4. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until smooth.

3. Assemble:

  1. Pour batter into a greased baking pan.
  2. Transfer cream into a piping bag.
  3. Pipe thick lines of cream across the top (like in the picture).
  4. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.

4. Bake:

  • Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.

5. Finish:

  • Let it cool slightly.
  • Dust with powdered sugar.
  • Slice and serve

 Tips:

  • Don’t overmix the batter to keep it soft.
  • You can add lemon zest for extra flavor.
  • Best served slightly warm!
