Slow Cooker Garlic Brown Sugar Pork Chops
Ingredients:
- 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
- Sear the pork chops (optional but recommended):
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear each pork chop for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. - Prepare the sauce:
In a bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and thyme. - Slow cook:
Place pork chops in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. - Cook:
- LOW: 6–7 hours
- HIGH: 3–4 hours
Until the pork is tender and juicy.
- Thicken the sauce:
Mix cornstarch + water, then stir into the slow cooker during the last 20 minutes. - Serve:
Spoon the rich sauce over the pork chops and serve hot.
