Smoky Grilled Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Instructions

  1. Wash the chicken wings and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and mix well until they are fully coated with the marinade.
  4. Let the wings marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour (longer for better flavor).
  5. Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
  6. Place the wings on the grill and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally until they are golden, smoky, and fully cooked.
  7. For extra flavor, brush them with a little BBQ sauce or honey during the last few minutes of cooking.

Serving

Serve hot with:

  • French fries
  • Fresh salad
  • BBQ sauce or garlic mayo
