Cheesy Potato Casserole

 

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or cooking cream)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Arrange a layer of sliced potatoes on the bottom of the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cream, garlic, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
  5. Pour a little of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle some cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers (potatoes – cream – cheese) until all ingredients are used.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
  9. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve warm.
