Ingredients
- 3 beef steaks (ribeye, sirloin, or strip steaks)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the steaks
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. - Sear the steaks
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for about 3–5 minutes per side depending on thickness and desired doneness.
Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside. - Cook the mushrooms
In the same skillet, add butter. Once melted, add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 4–5 minutes until browned and tender. - Add garlic
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. - Make the creamy sauce
Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir well and simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens. - Return the steaks
Place the steaks back into the skillet and spoon the creamy mushroom sauce over them. Let them simmer in the sauce for 2–3 minutes so the flavors combine. - Serve
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
