 Creamy Tomatillo Jalapeño Avocado Salsa

 Ingredients:

  • 2 jalapeños
  • ¼ white onion
  • 7 medium tomatillos
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ripe avocado

Instructions:

Boil the aromatics:
In a saucepan, add the tomatillos, jalapeños, onion, and garlic.
Cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 8–10 minutes, until softened.

  1. Drain well and let them cool slightly.
  2. Blend everything:
    Add the boiled tomatillos, jalapeños, onion, garlic, cilantro, salt, pepper, and avocado to a blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and adjust salt if needed.

Serve with:

  • Tacos
  • Grilled meats
  • Grilled chicken
  • Nachos
  • Sandwiches or wraps

For a thinner consistency, add 1–2 tablespoons of the reserved boiling water while blending.
