Slow Cooker Shredded Beef (Tender & Juicy)

Ingredients:

  1. 1.5 – 2 kg beef chuck roast m
  2. 2 onions, thinly sliced
  3. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 1 cup beef broth
  5. 1/2 cup soy sauce
  6. 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  7. 2 tbsp brown sugar
  8. 1 tbsp tomato paste
  9. 1 tsp black pepper
  10. 1 tsp paprika
  11. 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)
  12. 2 tbsp olive oil
  13. Salt (if needed)

i Instructions:

  1. Sear the beef
    Season the meat with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a pan and sear the beef 3–4 minutes per side until browned.
  2. Prepare the slow cooker
    Put sliced onions and garlic at the bottom.
  3. Make the sauce
    In a bowl mix:

    • beef broth
    • soy sauce
    • Worcestershire sauce
    • brown sugar
    • tomato paste
    • paprika & thyme
  4. Cook low & slow
    Place beef over onions and pour sauce on top.

    • Cook on LOW for 8 hours
      OR
    • HIGH for 4–5 hours
  5. Shred the beef
    When very tender, shred using two forks and mix it with the sauce.

Serving Ideas:

  • In sandwiches or burgers
  • With mashed potatoes
  • Over rice
  • In tacos or wraps

Tip: The longer it cooks, the softer it gets!
