Steak with Incredible Pan Sauce

 Steak with Incredible Pan Sauce

 Ingredients:

  • 2–3 beef steaks (Ribeye or Sirloin)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional, for a richer sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

Instructions:

Season the Steak
Pat the steaks dry and season generously with salt and black pepper. Let them rest at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking.

 Cook the Steak
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil.
Place the steaks in the hot pan and cook for 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness and desired doneness).
Remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest.

 Make the Sauce
Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir and let it simmer for a few minutes.
If using heavy cream, add it now and let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.

 Finish
Return the steaks to the pan and spoon the sauce over them. Cook for another 1–2 minutes to coat the steaks with the sauce.

 Serving Suggestion:

Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or rice.
