Crowd Favorite: 5-Ingredient Chicken & Stuffing Casserole
This creamy, cheesy chicken casserole is the ultimate comfort dish. I make it every New Year, and it disappears fast!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 (6 oz) box stuffing mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix the filling: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream. Stir until smooth and well blended.
- Assemble: Spread the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Prepare the stuffing: Prepare the stuffing mix according to the package directions (usually adding hot water and fluffing with a fork).
- Top and bake: Evenly spread the prepared stuffing over the cheese layer. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until heated through and golden brown on top.
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
