Creamy Broccoli with Bacon & Cheese
Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated mozzarella (optional for extra stretch)
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving a little bacon grease in the pan.
- Add butter and garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add the broccoli florets and cook for 4–5 minutes until slightly tender.
- Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for 3–4 minutes.
- Add the cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Stir until melted and creamy.
- Return the crispy bacon to the pan and mix well.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Perfect as a side dish with grilled chicken, steak, or even on its own as a comforting low-carb meal.
