Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen sweet peas, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, cut into small cubes
  • ½ cup red onion, finely chopped
  • ½ cup cooked bacon or turkey bacon, crumbled (optional)
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Peas

Thaw the frozen peas completely. Rinse under cold water and drain well to remove excess moisture.

Step 2: Mix the Salad Base

In a large mixing bowl, combine the peas, cubed cheddar cheese, chopped red onion, and bacon (if using).

Step 3: Make the Dressing

In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
