BANANA BREAD BROWNIES
Ingredients
For the brownies:
- 1½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3–4 bananas)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
- ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped walnuts (optional)
Optional glaze (recommended):
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking pan (9×9 inch).
- In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
- Add sugars, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients — do not overmix.
- Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
- Let cool completely before glazing.
Optional Glaze
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle over cooled brownies for extra sweetness.
