 BANANA BREAD BROWNIES

 Ingredients

For the brownies:

  • 1½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3–4 bananas)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter (or vegetable oil)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips or chopped walnuts (optional)

Optional glaze (recommended):

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp milk
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking pan (9×9 inch).
  2. In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. Add sugars, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients — do not overmix.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 20–30 minutes, until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  9. Let cool completely before glazing.

 Optional Glaze

  1. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  2. Drizzle over cooled brownies for extra sweetness.

 Serving Tips

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
  • Sprinkle with extra chocolate chips
  • Perfect for snacks, dessert, or breakfast treats
