JALAPEÑO POPPER TWISTS
Flaky puff pastry twists stuffed with creamy cheese, jalapeños, and crispy bacon — a crowd-pleasing appetizer ready in about 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1–2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
- 4–8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1–2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2–3 jalapeños, finely diced (remove seeds for less heat)
- ½–1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional topping: sesame seeds, parmesan, or extra cheddar
Instructions
Preheat Oven
Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Make the Filling
In a bowl, mix:
- Cream cheese
- Cheddar cheese
- Jalapeños
- Bacon
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Paprika
- Salt & pepper
Stir until smooth and creamy.
Prepare Puff Pastry
Lightly roll out puff pastry on a floured surface.
Spread filling evenly over half of the pastry sheet.
Fold & Slice
Fold pastry over the filling and gently press edges to seal.
Cut into ½–1 inch strips using a knife or pizza cutter.
Twist
Take each strip and twist it 2–3 times.
Place twists on the baking sheet with space between them.
Egg Wash
Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden, flaky finish.
Sprinkle optional toppings if desired.
Bake
Bake 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
