DEEP DISH PIZZA POT PIE

Gooey mozzarella, provolone, rich pizza sauce, and your favorite toppings baked inside ramekins under golden, puffy pizza dough. Flip it upside down for a dramatic, melty reveal!

 Ingredients

  • 1 large portion pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce (marinara-style)
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
  • ½ cup cooked Italian sausage or ground beef (optional)
  • ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ cup bell peppers, diced
  • ¼ cup black olives, sliced (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Olive oil or melted butter (for greasing)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

 Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the ramekins
    Generously grease 2–4 oven-safe ramekins with olive oil or melted butter.
  3. Layer the fillings
    • Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of pizza sauce into the bottom of each ramekin.
    • Add a layer of mozzarella and provolone cheese.
    • Top with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, olives, and any other toppings you like.
    • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and Parmesan.
    • Finish with another spoon of pizza sauce and a final layer of cheese.
  4. Add the dough
    • Roll out the pizza dough and cut circles slightly larger than the ramekins.
    • Place dough over each ramekin, tucking the edges down the sides to seal.
  5. Bake
    • Place ramekins on a baking sheet.
    • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Flip & serve
    • Let rest for 5 minutes.
    • Carefully run a knife around the edges, place a plate on top, and flip upside down for the big reveal!
  7. Garnish & enjoy
    • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
    • Serve hot and melty

 Tips

  • Add ricotta for extra creaminess
  • Brush the dough with garlic butter before baking
  • Serve with extra warm pizza sauce on the side
