BBQ Bacon Cheddar Bombs

 BBQ Bacon Cheddar Bombs

 Instructions

What you’ll do

  1. Heat things up
Preheat your grill to medium heat or your oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet or lightly oil a grill grate.
  2. Mix the magic
In a large bowl, gently combine:

    • Ground beef
    • BBQ sauce
    • Cheddar cheese
    • Garlic powder
    • Onion powder
    • Black pepper
    • Salt

Mix just until combined—overmixing = tough bombs, and we want juicy chaos.

  3. Form the bombs
Scoop about 2–3 tablespoons per bomb and roll into balls. You should get around 10–12 bombs.
  4. Optional but highly encouraged upgrades
    • Wrap each ball in ½ slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick
    • Or press a cube of extra cheddar into the center before rolling 👀
  5. Cook
    • Grill: 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally
    • Oven: 18–22 minutes, flipping once

You’re aiming for 160°F internal temp and caramelized BBQ goodness on the outside.

  6. Rest + devour Let them rest for 5 minutes (hardest step). Brush with extra BBQ sauce if you’re feeling bold.

Pro Tips

  • Want extra smoky vibes? Add ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Spice lover? Mix in chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce
  • Serving idea: toothpicks + ranch or spicy mayo for dipping
