 INGREDIENTS

  • 1 (16–24 oz) package frozen cheese pierogies
  • 14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Salt, to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions (optional, for garnish)

 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Lightly grease the inside of the crockpot.
  2. Add frozen pierogies in an even layer.
  3. Top with sliced kielbasa and onions.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder and black pepper over the top.
  5. Add cream cheese cubes and butter pieces evenly.
  6. Pour in chicken broth.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until pierogies are tender and sauce is creamy.
  8. Stir gently, then sprinkle shredded cheddar on top. Cover and cook another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Stir in sour cream just before serving.

 PRO TIP

For extra richness, add a splash of heavy cream or swap cheddar for a cheddar–Colby blend — and serve with a simple green salad to balance the comfort
