Steak & Cheese Quesadillas
Crispy quesadillas filled with juicy seasoned steak, sautéed onions, and perfectly melted cheese. A quick, satisfying weeknight dinner everyone loves!
Ingredients
- 400 g beef steak (sirloin or flank), thinly sliced
- 5 g black pepper
- 5 g salt
- 2 g onion powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 4 burrito-size flour tortillas
- 150 g Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
- 200 g mozzarella cheese, grated
Instructions
- Season the steak:
In a bowl, toss the sliced steak with salt, black pepper, and onion powder. - Cook the steak:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside. - Cook the onions:
In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté for 4–5 minutes until soft and lightly caramelized. - Assemble the quesadillas:
Lay one tortilla flat. Sprinkle a layer of Monterey Jack and mozzarella cheese, add steak and onions, then top with more cheese. Cover with another tortilla. - Cook until crispy:
Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Cook the quesadilla for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted. - Serve:
Slice into wedges and serve hot. Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
