Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground sausage (hot or mild, your choice)
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (10 oz / 283 g) Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies, very well drained
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups baking mix (like Bisquick)
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- ½ tsp onion powder (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the sausage and softened cream cheese until well combined.
- Add the drained Rotel, shredded cheddar cheese, and seasonings. Mix well.
- Stir in the baking mix until a thick dough forms.
- Roll into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool slightly, then serve warm.
Tips
- Drain the Rotel very well to avoid soggy balls.
- Serve with ranch dressing, spicy mayo, or honey mustard.
- These freeze great — bake straight from frozen, adding 3–5 minutes.
