Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 8 slices brioche or challah bread
- 2 tablespoons butter (for frying)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- ½ cup strawberry preserves or fresh strawberries, sliced
Optional for topping:
- Extra powdered sugar for dusting
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- Make the Cheesecake Filling
In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. - Assemble the Sandwiches
Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on 4 slices of bread.
Add a spoonful of strawberry preserves or a layer of fresh strawberry slices.
Top with the remaining bread slices to form sandwiches. - Fry the Sandwiches
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. - Serve
Remove from the pan, let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.
Serve warm on their own or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Tips
- For extra indulgence, drizzle with honey or strawberry sauce.
- You can swap strawberries for raspberries or blueberries too
