BBQ PULLED PORK MAC AND CHEESE

INGREDIENTS
For the Mac & Cheese
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the BBQ Pulled Pork
- 2 cups cooked pulled pork
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Optional Topping
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Cook the Pasta
- Cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Pulled Pork
- Warm the cooked pulled pork in a saucepan.
- Add BBQ sauce and mix well.
- Set aside.
Make the Cheese Sauce
- In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour and whisk to form a roux. Cook for 1–2 minutes.
- Slowly whisk in milk until smooth.
- Add mustard powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook until the sauce thickens.
Add the Cheese
- Lower the heat.
- Add cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Stir until fully melted and creamy.
Combine Pasta & Sauce
- Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce.
- Stir until well coated.
Add the Pulled Pork
- Mix in the BBQ pulled pork evenly.
Optional Baking Step
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Transfer mac and cheese to a baking dish.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
