Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a sticky sweet garlic sauce — this Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken is pure comfort food and always a crowd-pleaser!

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken
Cut each chicken breast lengthwise into 2–3 thinner pieces. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Set Up Breading Station
    • In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
    • In another bowl, whisk eggs with milk.
  3. Double Crunch Coating
Dip chicken into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour again. Press well to create a thick, crunchy coating.
  4. Fry the Chicken
Heat about 1 inch of oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
Fry chicken pieces for 4–5 minutes per side, until golden brown and fully cooked.
Remove and place on paper towels.
  5. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, add honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, and butter.
Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
Mix cornstarch with water and add to the sauce. Cook 1–2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Combine
Drizzle the warm honey garlic sauce over the crispy chicken or toss lightly to coat.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or fries
  • Add steamed broccoli or green beans for balance
  • Sprinkle with sesame seeds or chopped parsley for garnish

Tip: For extra crunch, let the breaded chicken rest 5 minutes before frying.
