Crispy Chicken Tenders with Dipping Sauce

Golden, crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside — these chicken tenders are irresistible!

Ingredients

For the Chicken Tenders

  • 1 lb chicken tenders or boneless chicken breast (cut into strips)
  • 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

For the Crispy Coating

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For Frying

  • Vegetable oil (enough for frying)

 Dipping Sauce (Easy & Delicious)

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Mix everything until smooth and creamy.

 Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken
    In a bowl, mix buttermilk, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
    Add chicken strips, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (1–2 hours is best).
  2. Prepare the Coating
    In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the Chicken
    Remove chicken from marinade and dredge each piece in the flour mixture.
    Press well to create extra crunch.
  4. Fry
    Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
    Fry chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain & Serve
    Place on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.
