Crispy Chicken Tenders with Dipping Sauce
Golden, crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside — these chicken tenders are irresistible!
Ingredients
For the Chicken Tenders
- 1 lb chicken tenders or boneless chicken breast (cut into strips)
- 1 cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp lemon juice)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
For the Crispy Coating
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
For Frying
- Vegetable oil (enough for frying)
Dipping Sauce (Easy & Delicious)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
Mix everything until smooth and creamy.
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, mix buttermilk, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Add chicken strips, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (1–2 hours is best). - Prepare the Coating
In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. - Coat the Chicken
Remove chicken from marinade and dredge each piece in the flour mixture.
Press well to create extra crunch. - Fry
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry chicken in batches for 4–5 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. - Drain & Serve
Place on paper towels and serve hot with dipping sauce.
