Cinnamon Sugar Cream Cheese Fluffy Rolls

Ingredients

For the Dough (Fluffy Roll Base):

  • 3 ½ cups (440 g) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) warm milk
  • ¼ cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cinnamon Sugar Filling:

  • ½ cup (100 g) brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup (60 g) unsalted butter, very soft

For the Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 6 oz (170 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Cream Cheese Glaze (Optional but Recommended):

  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  3. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1–1½ hours until doubled in size.

2. Make the Fillings

  • Cinnamon Sugar: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  • Cream Cheese Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

3. Assemble the Rolls

  1. Roll dough into a rectangle (about 14×10 inches).
  2. Spread soft butter evenly over the dough.
  3. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture all over.
  4. Add small spoonfuls of cream cheese filling and gently spread.
  5. Roll tightly from the long side and cut into 12 rolls.

4. Second Rise

  • Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  • Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.

5. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • Bake for 22–25 minutes until lightly golden.

6. Prepare the Glaze

  • Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and creamy.

7. Finish

  • Spread glaze over warm rolls.
  • Serve soft, fluffy, and irresistible
