Chili Cheese Dog Bake
Ingredients
- 8 hot dogs, sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 1 can (15 oz) beef chili (with or without beans)
- 1 package refrigerated biscuit dough, quartered
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or cheddar–mozzarella blend)
- ½ small onion, finely chopped (optional)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp chili powder (optional, for extra flavor)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray or butter (for greasing the dish)
Optional Toppings:
- Sliced green onions
- Jalapeño slices
- Sour cream or mustard for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
2. Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine:
- Sliced hot dogs
- Chili
- Quartered biscuit dough
- Onion (if using)
- Garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper
Mix gently until everything is well coated.
3. Assemble
Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top.
4. Bake
Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until:
- Biscuits are cooked through
- Cheese is melted and bubbly
- Top is lightly golden
5. Rest & Serve
Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Add optional toppings if desired.
