Funnel Cake Bites Recipe

Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside—these Funnel Cake Bites bring all the fun of the fair straight to your kitchen. Perfect for parties, holidays, or a sweet snack anytime!

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Oil, for frying (vegetable or canola oil)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the batter:
    In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
    Add the milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and lump-free.
  2. Heat the oil:
    Pour about 2 inches of oil into a deep skillet or saucepan. Heat to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Fry the bites:
    Spoon small amounts of batter (about 1 tablespoon each) carefully into the hot oil.
    Fry for 1–2 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until golden brown.
  4. Drain:
    Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve:
    Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm.
