Crispy Fried Mushrooms
Golden, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside—Crispy Fried Mushrooms are the ultimate snack or appetizer! Perfect for dipping, sharing, or enjoying straight from the plate, these mushrooms are quick to make and totally irresistible
Ingredients
- 250 g (9 oz) button mushrooms, cleaned and dried
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko (for extra crunch)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Optional: grated Parmesan, chili powder, or Italian seasoning for extra flavor
Instructions
- Prep the coating:
- In one bowl, mix flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a second bowl, beat the eggs.
- In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Coat the mushrooms:
- Dip each mushroom into the seasoned flour.
- Then dip into the egg.
- Finally, coat well with breadcrumbs.
- Fry:
- Heat oil in a deep pan to about 175°C (350°F).
- Fry mushrooms in batches for 3–4 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
- Drain:
- Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

- Garlic mayo
- Ranch dressing
- Spicy ketchup
- Cheese sauce
Tip: For extra crunch, double-dip the mushrooms (egg + breadcrumbs twice).
