100 g (½ cup) butter, softened
3–4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried parsley (or fresh, finely chopped)
½ teaspoon oregano
Salt, to taste
¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional)
1½–2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Slice the bread lengthwise or cut into sections without cutting all the way through.
In a bowl, mix:
softened butter
minced garlic
parsley
oregano
salt and black pepper
Spread the garlic butter generously over the bread, making sure to get it between the cuts.
Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the bread and inside the slices.
Add Parmesan cheese on top if using.
Place the bread on a baking tray and cover loosely with aluminum foil.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese melts.
Remove the foil and broil for 3–5 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot
Tips:
Add chili flakes for a spicy kick
Serve with soup, pasta, or as an appetizer
You can substitute butter with olive oil for a lighter version
