Deep Dish Pizza Cupcake
Mini Deep-Dish Pizza Cups – Easy, Cheesy & Irresistible
Ingredients
1 (8 oz) can refrigerated crescent roll dough (seamless sheet preferred)
½ cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional but recommended)
½ cup mini pepperoni or cooked sausage (optional)
Cooking spray or melted butter (for greasing)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan with cooking spray or melted butter.
2. Prepare the dough
Unroll the crescent dough and cut it into 12 equal squares. Gently press each square into the muffin cups, making sure the dough goes up the sides to form a cup.
3. Season the base
Sprinkle a small pinch of garlic powder and Italian seasoning into each dough cup.
4. Add the filling
Spoon about 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce into each cup.
Add pepperoni or sausage if using.
Top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
5. Bake
Place the muffin pan in the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Cool & serve
Let the pizza cupcakes cool for 3–5 minutes, then carefully remove them from the pan. Serve warm.
