Classic Cherry Delight
A timeless no-bake dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, a smooth and creamy filling, and a sweet-tart cherry topping. Easy to make and always a crowd favorite!
Ingredients
For the Crust:
1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Creamy Filling:
8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
or 1½ cups freshly whipped heavy cream
For the Topping:
1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until evenly moistened.
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of an 8×8-inch or similar-sized baking dish.
Refrigerate for 15–20 minutes to set.
2. Make the Cream Filling
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
3. Assemble the Dessert
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
Spoon the cherry pie filling over the top, spreading gently.
4. Chill
Cover and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Serving Instructions
Serve chilled.
Slice into squares just before serving.
Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator.
