Beef Tips with Mushroom
Ingredients:
1 lb beef tips
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation:
Prepare the Beef: Season the beef tips with salt and pepper on all sides.
Cook the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef tips and cook for about 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking for about 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender and browned.
Add the Liquid: Return the beef tips to the skillet. Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the skillet and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened slightly.
Serve: Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve the beef tips with mushrooms over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles for a hearty meal.
