Cinnamon Sugar Cream Cheese Fluffy Rolls
Ingredients
For the Dough (Fluffy Roll Base):
- 3 ½ cups (440 g) all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- ¾ cup (180 ml) warm milk
- ¼ cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Cinnamon Sugar Filling:
- ½ cup (100 g) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup (60 g) unsalted butter, very soft
For the Cream Cheese Filling:
- 6 oz (170 g) cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Cream Cheese Glaze (Optional but Recommended):
- 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
- Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1–1½ hours until doubled in size.
2. Make the Fillings
- Cinnamon Sugar: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
- Cream Cheese Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Assemble the Rolls
- Roll dough into a rectangle (about 14×10 inches).
- Spread soft butter evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture all over.
- Add small spoonfuls of cream cheese filling and gently spread.
- Roll tightly from the long side and cut into 12 rolls.
4. Second Rise
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.
5. Bake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Bake for 22–25 minutes until lightly golden.
6. Prepare the Glaze
- Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth and creamy.
7. Finish
- Spread glaze over warm rolls.
- Serve soft, fluffy, and irresistible
