A rich, indulgent layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, gooey caramel filling, crunchy nuts, and a smooth chocolate topping. These bars are easy to make and absolutely irresistible—perfect for parties, holidays, or whenever you’re craving something sweet and decadent.

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

For the filling:

  • 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (or dulce de leche)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, or peanuts)

For the topping:

  • 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust
    Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until well combined.
    Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased or parchment-lined 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Add the filling
    Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust.
    Drizzle the caramel sauce on top, spreading gently.
    Sprinkle the chopped nuts evenly over the caramel layer.
  3. Bake
    Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set.
  4. Add chocolate topping
    Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot surface.
    Let sit for 2–3 minutes until melted, then spread smoothly with a spatula.
  5. Cool & slice
    Allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing into squares.

Serving & Storage Tips

  • Cut with a sharp knife wiped clean between slices for neat edges.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerated for up to 1 week.
